Best Gun Store and Range in Vegas?
Best Gun Store and Range in Vegas?
Question by connor014: Best Gun Store and Range in Vegas?
I have several guns and have gone shooting a lot but would like to shoot a full auto in Vegas and also find a good store to pick up some cheaper ammo for my AK and possibly some accessories. Any suggestions for stores and ranges? Everyone talkes about the gun store but seems kind of expensive.

The gun store on Trop is a great place.
I listen to the local radio stations and one of the DJs got married, he had a pre engagement men only party there. It was a lot of fun from the comments he and the crew made on the radio program.
They also have a state of the art outdoor Clark County Shooting Park. Check the county web page for more details.
It was fetured on Clark County access TV and looks like a great place for sportsmen.
the gun store on tropicana has all kinds of rentals but i stay away from there because of the tourist. i take my own guns and go shoot at discount fire arms.
There is nothing wrong with calling a semiautomatic AK an “AK”; that’s what they are. I’ll bet the people who criticize for that have no idea that the first ARs were also fully-automatic, long before the military adopted the M16. Heck, most ARs aren’t even called ARs by their respective manufacturers, either.
On to the question:
I prefer Discount Firearms on Highland Drive and American Shooters on Arville or their Henderson location on Boulder Highway.
I stay away from The Gun Store on Tropicana and the Las Vegas Gun Range on Blue Diamond because they are FULL of tourists and you can’t hardly walk around, and their ranges are packed.
As for prices, they are pretty similar from store to store, so don’t expect to save too much by shopping around. Discount Firearms is one of the best, though, for firearms prices. I’m a member at American Shooters, though, for their weekly competitions and other perks. I use a lot of range time at the four clubs I joined because I’m constantly teaching clients.
For ammo and accessories, you are way better off shopping the Internet and using places like Brownells and MidwayUSA.
